Gene Simmons, co-founder of KISS has a few thoughts and advice for American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert.  Hell, you could say Gene Simmons has few thoughts, period.

Simmons said Lambert is great and has a lot of talent if he wants to be the lead singer of the rock band QUEEN, or be on Broadway, but is not a true rock singer in the same vain as The Rolling Stones Mick Jagger.  But then again, who is anyway?  Just like there will never be another like Freddy Mercury, there will never be another Adam Lambert.

Gene’s advice to Adam is even more out there.  Simmons says Lambert should shut up about his sexual preferences unless they include farm animals,  and that we Americans and the rest of the world don’t really care what he does indoors.  This coming from a man who has been known to brag about having had sex with 46oo women.  Also,  could someone please remind Mr. Simmons that his A&E reality show is all about HIS indoor life??  We Americans never wanted to anything about this, but they still went ahead and did it anyway, right?  Right.

But aside from that, yes, we really don’t care about Adam’s sexual preferences and what he does in the privacy of his own bedroom.  We just care that he is a monsterous talent and has a bright career ahead of him.  Remind you of someone, Mr. Simmons??

And the ever modest Simmons had this to say about KISS performing with Adam on American Idol.  “You mean, how was it for HIM to perform with US?”  he said in a recent interview.  “Well, you just have to realize who the Governor  is and who the little puppy is.”   I don’t even want to know what the hell he meant by that.  Sounds like Mr. Simmons is a little irked that Rolling Stone Magazine said Adam Lambert upstaged KISS during the American Idol finale.  Hell, even Kriss Allen could have upstaged KISS.

WTF does that mean?? Sounds like he has spent too many years in makeup and it has seeped into his brain, because as we Americans all know, KISS is so relevant to rock music today, that they are getting ready to release their first studio album in 11 years, and Mr. Simmons is wrapping up a fourth season of his crappy A&E show with his family.

David Letterman is in the hot seat for some crude jokes made at the expense of Alaskan Governor and former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her teenage daughter on his CBS  “The Late Show” on June 8.

During his monologue, Letterman said that Palin and her husband and daughter were recently visiting New York City.  And one of the jokes remarked that one of the hardest things about the trip was keeping Elliot Spitzer (former proscecutor who resigned as Governor of New York after being caught with a prostitute) away from her daughter.  And as Letterman said on a later show, defending the jokes, “I’m surprised we haven’t heard from Elliot Spitzer, either”.  In another joke, Letterman went on to say that while attending a Ney York Yankees game, Palin’s daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez during the 7th inning stretch.  “I admit these jokes are ugly, but they are just jokes and nothing more than trying to get a cheap laugh which is what I’ve been doing for the last 30 years.  And why haven’t we heard from Alex Rodriguez?”  Further stating that “These are not jokes made about her 14-year-old daughter.  I would never, never make jokes about raping or having sex of any description with a 14-year-old girl. I mean, look at my record. It has never happened. I don’t thin it’s funny.  I would never think it was funny. I wouldn’t put it in a joke.”

It is clear to me that Letterman was under the impression that Palin’s 18-year-old daughter Bristol was who he was referring to.  Geeze!!!  Talk about your Liberals freaking out!!!  Besides, we ALL know that  Bristol’s pre-marital adventures have been common knowledge and openly talked and joked about!!  Correct me if I am wrong, and of course I am not wrong,  was Bristol not 17-years-old when the moron got knocked up by her equally moronic boyfriend??   Has the cold of Alaska frozen your brain??  I would suggest that you keep closer tabs on your 14-year-old daughter Willow, so that she doesn’t end up knocked up at 17 like her older sister.

Letterman later invited Sarah Palin and her husband to appear on the show and clear the air.  Both declined immediately.  Of course they did.  Why would either one of them have the balls to face Letterman.  Palin said on June 12 that it was time for people to rise up against Letterman’s form of humor.  And what kind of humor would that be?  Funny humor?  Palin went on to say “No wonder young girls have such low self-esteem in America when we think it’s funny for a so-called comedian to get away with such a remark as he did. I don’t think that’s acceptable.” 

So, if I’m to understand correctly, young girls have such low self-esteem in America today and your daughter Bristol got pregnant at 17 because of  “so-called comedians” like David Letterman.  So, as parents, you have no responsibility for the well-being of your children and making sure your 17-year-old daughters don’t get pregnant while they are still in high school??

THIS MORON COULD HAVE BEEN OUR VICE PRESIDENT, PEOPLE!!!

American Idol “Winner” Kris Allen, runner-up Adam Lambert and fourth-place finisher Allison Iraheta all have been signed by a major label (19 Recordings, a division of 19 Entertainment, the company that created American Idol),  but so far 3rd place finisher Danny Gokey is still an independent entertainer despite his plans to release a “soulful” album with rhythm and blues beat.  The 29-year-old Gokey from Millwaukee Wisconsin went far in this last season of American Idol, probably farther than he should have.  In this blogger’s opinion, 17-year-old Allison Iraheta should have at least finished in third place instead of fourth, and I will even go as far as to say she should have finished at least as runner-up to Adam Lambert, who definately deserved the title of “American Idol”.  Allison has a much better voice than either Kris Allen OR Danny Gokey, and I would have loved to have seen an Adam Lambert / Allison Iraheta Final.

I sympathize with Danny for the loss of his dear wife, but unfortunately I feel this tragedy is what kept him in the competition as long as it did.  His Grandfather also passed away during the season as well, and I am glad he did not choose to disclose that on the show or I feel it might have got him voted off earlier in the competition.  I can’t for the life of me recall any Gokey performances during the show that made a lasting impression or were very memorable for me, and I’m sure I’m not alone on that one.

But,  if  history is to repeat itself,  will Danny Gokey suffer from the alleged “third-place curse”?

Let’s put it this way…

Syesha Mercado from season 7 made a lasting impression with renditions of “Proud Mary” and “Saving All My Love For You.” Then she disappeared from the public eye.

Melinda Doolittle from season 6 knocked us out with her rendition of “My Funny Valentine”, but her debut album failed to achieve the same impact.

Elliott Yamin from season 5 had his self-titled debut album reach #3 on the Billboard Charts.  The Album went gold and its first single, “Wait For You” went platinum.  And then zilch.

Vonzell Solomon of season 4 wowed ‘Idol’ audiences with renditions of  “Let’s Hear it for the Boy” and “If I ain’t Got You” but things haven’t gone well for her since the show.  First, a terrible fire caused serious damage to her home, and took the life of a family pet.  And last year she was arrested for carrying an unloaded handgun–in an airport.

Jasmine Trias from season 3 had her self-titled debut album go platinum in the Phillippines, but she all but dissappeared in the continental U.S.

Kimberly Locke from season 2 might have a promising career with three singles: “8th World Wonder”, “Change”, and “Fall” performing well on the Billboard charts since departing from the show.

And Nikki McKibbin from the very first season of American Idol was actually signed to the same label that is taking Kris, Adam and Allison to the next level.  She left the company because they had a difference of opinion on what her appropriate genre was and the only place she has gone since is “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew”

ALL OF THESE PEOPLE WERE 3RD PLACE FINISHERS!!!

On the other hand, Allison may have much to look forward to.  Past fourth place finishers Josh Gracin and Chris Daughtry have become very successful recording artists, so the recently-signed teen may be in good company!!

Danny Gokey, I am glad to say, will not fall victim to the dreaded “3rd place curse”.  He doesn’t have enough talent for that!  Whew!  What a relief, huh, Danny?

Less than a month after after being told by Donald Trump that she could keep her Miss California crown, Carrie Prejean was fired on June 10, 2009.

The decision was based solely on contract violations, and it had become evidently clear that she had no desire to fulfill her obligations under contract to K2 Productions.

Prejean became infamous for her answer to a question about gay marriage two months ago in the Trump-owned Miss USA Pageant when she defended her opinion that gays and lesbians should not be given the right to marry in the state of California, and things only got worse for her when racy pictures of her were published that put her in direct violation of pageant rules.  Trump then came to her defense in a May 12 press conference stating that “the pictures that were taken are fine.”

Ironically it was Trump himself that gave the final O.K. to fire her.  In a press release Trump stated, “I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California Organization and I gave her the opportunity to do so.”
Prejean told TMZ.com, “They don’t agree with the stance I took on Proposition 8. They don’t like me. From day one they wanted me out and they got what they wanted.”

Well, first of all you moron, you’re entitled
to your opinion, what there is of it, and I’ll defend your right to it, and second of all you were fired for not doing your job!  Hello…I don’t care where or who you work for, if your boss tells you to do something and you don’t do it, guess what?  You usually end up losing that job!

Apparently among these things they wanted her to do was pose semi-nude for Playboy magazine for $140,000 and to star on the reality show “I’m A Celebrity…Get me outta Here!” and she turned both these offers down.  She wanted to do the things she wanted to do, when she wanted saying that it was not right for them to ask her to do these things.  Bad move.  Pictures of her half naked show up on the internet and almost get her fired the first time, and she turned down the chance to pose for Playboy for 140K?  I can understand turning down “Get Me Outta Here…I’m a Celebrity!”  From what I can tell, they only put people on that show they know the viewing audience will like!!

First-runner-up Tami Farrell is expected to assume the responsibilities and role of Miss California, USA.  In addition, The Miss Universe Pageant Organization will make the reigning Miss USA Kristen Dalton, and Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza available to fulfill appearance requests that were declined by Prejean.

According to this blogger’s sources, Prejean has aspirations to write a book and persue other opportunities which she will be able to do now that she has been released of her duties.

Wow…I’m surprised she’s even READ a book and now she wants to write one. And I’ll bet any money it’s written in crayon.  And now she can get that job at Hooters she always wanted.  Or was it Neuro-Physicist?  My money is on Hooters.

Chastity Bono, the civil rights advocate,  journalist author and musician is in the early stages of changing her gender from female to male.  The child of legendary entertainers Sonny and Cher,  Chaz (as she will be referred to) began the process earlier this year shortly after her 40th birthday.

According to publicist Howard Bragman,”after many years of consideration, Chaz has made the courageous decision to honor his true identity.  Adding ” it is ‘Chaz’s’ hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his ‘coming out’ did nearly 20 years ago”.

After reading about this, I have to wonder what the hell is wrong with Chastity Bono.  I call her Chastity because to my knowledge, the transformation is STILL in its infancy, so knock it off with the Chaz bit.  As an ‘out’ gay man, I can honestly say I would never consider having such surgery to become a woman.  I am comfortable in my own skin, which it sounds like Chastity is not.  And what happens when the transormation is complete?  Will she still have sex with women?  Would’nt that make her straight?  Would’nt she have to have sex with men now, because she will be a man, but STILL gay??  Where are my fu*king Tylenol?

I have also read that Bono “is hopeful that his (her) privacy and very personal decisions will be respected during this time.”

Uh, Excuse me, but you should have thought about that before going public with your decision to have the procedure in the FIRST PLACE!!!!  And now you want your privacy to be respected?  You couldn’t have waited until AFTER the procedure was complete before blabbing about it to the press???

Even Adam Lambert waited until after American Idol was done before ‘coming out’ publicly.  Even though nobody in their right mind was even surprised.

It was nice to read that Sonny’s widow, congresswoman Mary “loves and supports you”,  but Sonny must be rolling over in his grave!!   And I’d love to hear Mom’s opinion on it.  But then again,  how could Cher have anything negative to say when it comes to reconstructive surgery, right??

And by the way, is the estimated $100,000.00 that it allegedly costs to do all this; covered by her health care provider??

Oh, well.  You Go, Girl!  Oooops, sorry.  You Go Boy!!!

Thanks to his foul mouth, our favorite celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay found himself in hot water when he compared Australian TV newscaster Tracy Grimshaw to a pig,  and allegedly hinted that she was a lesbian according to reports.  And all of this took place during a cooking demonstration given by Ramsay in Melbourne for a food festival after being interviewed by Grimshaw.

A local newspaper reported Ramsay showed the crowd of at least 3,000  picture of a naked woman with pig-like features and a picture of Miss Piggy comparing them Grimshaw, adding “Look who I sat next to on the plane at Quantas. “There she is, oh, Jesus, I won’t tell you her name, but it begins with a ‘T’.” He then went on to say,  “It’s all a joke!”

Ummmm.  Yes, it is funny.  I would even go as far as Hysterical!  Does she even know who Gordon is?  Has she seen any of his television shows?  THIS IS WHAT HE DOES!!  You dumb cow!!  Get over yourself!!  You should be honored that Gordon would compare you to a pig!  It’s probably a compliment!!  I would give my left nut to be called names by this man!!

During his TV interview with Grimshaw started with Gordon asking her, “What turns you on?” and ended with him insulting a mole on her face admitting to being “fodder” for the media.  “You get caught in the realms of this sort of celebritysort of dogfight, so you just take the blows.”

Grimshaw reports that “Gordon made me promise not to ask him about his private life. Then he got on stage and made some very clear and uniformed insinuations about mine,” she added.  “Obviously Gordon thinks that any woman who doesn’t find him attractive must be gay. For the record, I don’t and I’m not. But I’m not at all surprised by any of this.  We’re all just fodder to him.”

In this blogger’s opinion, when you are going to interview Ramsay, you have to expect the unexpected!  And the fact you don’t find him attractive I find hard to believe.  As a gay man I find him quite attractive.  Maybe you ARE a lesbian?  Have you never heard of Don Rickles???  Part of Gordon’s charm is in the way he yells and insults people.  It all goes with the personna, lady!

Way to go Gordon!!!  DragQueenDiaries.com loves you!!!  Keep up the great work!!!  Thats the great thing about blogging: having your own opinion!  Don’t forget, opinions are like assholes: everyone has one!

Our favorite American Idol runner-up has officially inked a deal with 19 Recordings and RCA Records!!

Licensed to RCA Records, Lambert’s debut album is highly anticipated for a fall release.  This would coincide with the debut albums of fellow American Idol Ulumni, fourth-place finisher Allison Iraheta and American Idol winner Kris Allen, both signing with 19/Jive.

Currently,  Lambert has 4 singles on Billboard’s Hot 100, with his cover of  “Mad World”  currently sitting at #4.  His other singles on the Hot 100 include, “No Boundaries”, “A Change is Gonna Come”, and “One”.

“I’m thrilled that we’ve come to a creative and collaborative partnership and look forward to developing a really exciting album,” Lambert said in a release. “We are 100 percent on the same page and are all anxiously awaiting the start of the recordings. It’s going to be ridiculous! Get Ready!”

It’s going to be ridiculous, Adam!!  Ridiculously Awesome!!  We are ready!!!  Bring it on!!!

“I’m proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. I’s just another part of me,” is what American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert reveals in an in-depth interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, due to hit the stands on Wednesday, June 10.

In this blogger’s opinion, following the “is he or isn’t he?”  controversy as I have, I have to say that his timing was absolutely right.  No sense of coming out publicly during the run of American Idol, for fear that the topic of his sexuality would overshadow any of his performances.  The fact that so many pictures and articles of him: some in drag and others sucking face with another man didn’t already fuel those fires on the internet never took away anything from the fact that this young man truly has a God given gift.  His voice.

As he tells the magaine, “I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I am gay.”

Trust me, hun, no one was.

After the American Idol finale, he was so tempted to talk to reporters about it, but decided he didn’t want all the Clay Aiken type of publicity B.S.  and purposely decided on Rolling Stone Magazine, so that he could do it on his own terms.   He goes on to tell how his parents found out after finding his gay porn on the family computer,  and about his “crush” on Kris Allen and how nervous he was when he was paired up to room with the American Idol winner.  “I was like, ‘Oh [crap], they roomed me with the cute guy.’ Distracting?  He’s the one guy that I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type — except that he has a wife.”
