On last nights episode of Rupaul’s Drag Race, the five remaining drag queen divas were put through a hair raising challenge, literally. The dragsters had to make a fantasy outfit made entirely out of hair! As we saw it happen the first thing we thought of is Oh mama…Shangela is not going to do well in this challenge.
The guest celebrity judges this week were Fantasia, and Wayne Brady. Wayne looked a little out of his element, and Fantasia just rolled with it. Michelle Visage was wearing this weird red furry thing with spikes coming out of the shoulders. Not a good look. Also returning was your favorite design queen from Project Runway, Santino Rice. Santino has his up and down moments, but I think they could do a little better. Santino usually has the same comments, and on this week I wonder if Rupaul was even getting a little fed up with him. Okay, back to the episode.
Who went home on Rupaul’s Drag Race?
In addition to making the wig outfit the dragsters had to make a red carpet runway look, and a classic look. The usual banter happens between all, with Shangela throwing the most shade. Yara was being the wacky Latino we all love. Alexis seem to be a little bit over confident, and the remaining two Heathers were just being themselves. (We love that!)
On the Rupaul’s Drag Race runway, Manila was our clear winner. But the judges gave it to Yara. Raja was first to be safe, which left Alexis and Shangela in the bottom two. Two weeks in a row for Miss Halleloo, and quite frankly it was time. Although there are qualities that make Shangie likeable, she just isn’t ready yet.
Alexis and Shangela Lip-synched for there lives to one Fantasia’s songs called “Even Angel’s”. What I laughed at was that the camera panned in on Fantasia and she was lip-syncing her own song! Yikes. When all was done, Miss Rupaul told Alexis, “Shantay you stay.” Which meant Shangela was going to be sent home, YAY! But wait, that’s not all!
Rupaul’s Drag Race Ends with another shocker!
In another shocking twist, Rupaul tells the other judges to pick one contestant from this season, to re-enter the competition next week. WTF? Come on your down to the final four and your going to let someone come back in. My first impression is let’s say the judges pick the first queen voted off, Venus. That mean the Bitch practically gets a free ride, as she wouldn’t have had to all those weeks of challenges. What if the judges bring back Shangela?
On a last note while we agree the makes for juicy TV, Can you imagine how the final four must feel? We will have to see how the plays out, because the final two at least in our honest opinion would have been Yara and Raja, with Manila as a possibility. Now this could all change. Oh the high drama build’s on Rupaul’s Drag Race.
What do you think did Rupaul finally F**k it up?
