Admit It! Lady Gaga’s Born This Way is not Madonna!

Lady Gaga - Born This Way, Not Madonna!Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” is not Madonna’s “Express Yourself”

Or is it? It’s been a month since Lady Gaga performed “Born This Way” on the Grammy awards show, and now you can’t escape hearing the song whether it’s on radio, MTV, the Internet…the song is everywhere. It’s a number one smash for three weeks running on Billboard.

So is “Born This Way” a ripoff of Madonna’s “Express Yourself”? Well technically no! “Born This Way” is written in the key of G, while “Express Yourself” is written in the key of Fm. The songs also differ in BPM (Beats Per Measure).

When the controversy first started we really didn’t think anything about it, until we saw Lady Gaga on the Jay Leno Show shortly after saying the she had been given the all clear from “The Queen” that meaning Madonna. So has Madonna softened in her old age? I mean the two songs do sound identical, however Lady Gaga is going to sell many more records and downloads then Madonna did in her hay day.

We asked our resident DJ if he would do an exclusive mix, and what he came up with is pretty interesting. Starting with Madonna first then moving into Lady Gaga, it’s really apparent that Gaga really did take a big hook out of the “Express Yourself” song.

Does anyone really care anymore? Probably not, but thanks to the original controversy, both songs will probably get a boost in sales, even if it’s only for a short time!

So what do you think, are both songs the same or are they different???

Madonna announces release of Sticky & Sweet on DVD

Looks like fans of Madonna will have to wait until November to get their hands on the live DVD tour of Sticky &  Sweet. While Madonna has always been prompt in releasing any tour to DVD, one has to wonder if the fact that this tour went into overtime had anything to with it.

Seeing the concert myself last year at Chicago’s United Center, it had all the bells and whistles we’ve come to expect from a Madonna concert; accept one thing…Personality.

One thing I’ve noticed about Madonna in the past few tours is that she is all business, she comes on stage (usually late) then busts out the hits and then poof the concert is over. Madonna what gives? have you gotten to big to address your audience the way you did on the Blonde Ambition tour or the Like A Virgin tour?

Either way the Sticky and Sweet tour on DVD will be a treat to own, below are some of the sneak peaks at the Queen in action.
