Nicknamed "The Raphael Of Flowers" he was painter and botanist, best known for his watercolors of roses, lilies and other flowers. He was the official court artist of Queen Marie Antoinette and he continued painting through the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror. Redout\u00e9 survived the turbulent political upheaval to gain international recognition for his precise renderings of plants, which remain as fresh in the early 21st century as when they were first painted.=======================================================================Tour our Rose Garden here:http://www./shop/surrenderdorothy/search?search_query=rose====================================================Take a peek at our other charming Redoute botanical lithos here:http://www./shop/surrenderdorothy/search?search_query=redoute====================================================View our entire collection of flowers, plants and things green and growing here:http://www./shop/surrenderdorothy/search?search_query=botanical====================================================For those who love Natural History, we have hundreds of subjects to choose from:http://www./shop/surrenderdorothy/search?search_query=natural+history====================================================All things French are here:http://www./shop/surrenderdorothy/search?search_query=franceAll things Belgian are herehttp://www./shop/surrenderdorothy/search?search_query=belgium*********************************************************Please View Our Shop Policies Here:http://www./shop/SurrenderDorothy/policy?ref=shopinfo_policies_leftnav P76, botanical
