His illustrations have lent sparkle to such magazines as McCalls, Saturday Evening Post, and Fortune magazines. He has served on the faculty of the Academy of Art in San Francisco and was instrumental in the formation of the Society of Illustrators which he served as president. On invitation of the United States Air Force, he toured the Orient in return for his subsequent painting presently world tour and part of the collection of the United States Air Force documentary art program. An award winning artist with both gold and silver medals to his credit, Mr. Davey's technique, at once factual and impressionistic, has won him a following the world over.
