A 3D collage or assemblage made from recycled wood, imagery and disassembled computer parts. Imagery appears on 2 levels of this piece which has a limited pallet of black, white and silver. On the base or frame, 19th century German engineering diagrams are depicted in negative, white on black. These detailed patent illustrations were found in de-accessioned library books and depict an accordion bellows, gears, and other apparatus placed diagonally and at right angles across the center over which a stunning collection of objects is assembled. The design of the featured 3D forms contains repetition. Concentric circles like a bull’s eye, dead center in the fan cover; short and tall parallel fins on the heat sink. The spring’s shiny silver loops are stretched out aboard a flat plastic surface, below which are circles of various sizes. With close observation the qualities of these disassembled parts computer parts reveal their beauty. Placed in relation to the old diagrams, their predecessors, the piece embodies the long history of tool making and production.- Pictures just do not convey the presence of these pieces. - one of a kind- signed and dated-Dimensions: 23 x 16 x2- FREE SHIPPING in continental US Please convo for shipping outside continental USIf you like it, let me know!
